Kitchen Makeover at a third of the cost: The Power of Refacing
Tired of your kitchen but dreading the cost of a full renovation? You’re not alone. Many homeowners are discovering the transformative power of kitchen refacing. By giving your existing cabinets a fresh look, you can achieve a stunning new kitchen without the hefty price tag.
Refacing is a cost-effective alternative to a full kitchen remodel, typically costing around a third of the price. It involves replacing cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and hardware while keeping the existing cabinet boxes intact. This process not only saves you money but also reduces waste and environmental impact.

Our Menzies Creek Project
We recently completed a kitchen refacing project in Menzies Creek that perfectly demonstrates the potential of this approach. The kitchen was outdated but had solid cabinets that provided a strong foundation for a makeover.

By replacing the cabinet doors with a modern style and installing sleek new benchtops and a stylish slatted timber front, we completely transformed the space. We also added practical elements like deep drawers and redesigned the appliance tower to accommodate a new oven.

Even the walk-in pantry received a refresh – a fresh coat of paint, new shelving and storage spaces for the kitchen appliances.
The result? A kitchen that looks and feels brand new without breaking the bank.

Finishes:
We organise the whole kitchen make-over, making the cabinetry and fronts ourselves and working with our trusted suppliers and complementary trades.
For this project, we arranged for the floor to be resanded and polished and worked with these suppliers to achieve the look:
Cupboard and Drawer fronts:
'Shaker Style' fronts.
Painted & colour-matched by Simmonds
Slatted Timber: supplied from Porta
Benchtops: "Pure Concrete" by Lavistone
Floors: Sand and repolished floors
